Ace Buchan gets upside down at the Quiky Pro 2008Organisers were stoked to get round 2 of the Quiksiver pro completed yesterday. Conditions were excellent with long workable glassy walls at Snapper rocks.

Kieren Perrow put a stop to the ‘Ginga Ninja” Mick Campbell’s run, with a blistering attack of cutbacks and re entries.

Tamaroa McComb from Tahiti sequence 2Sixteen year-old grommett Tamaroa McComb from Tahiti won the Komunity Project Trials for the Quiksilver Pro over Troy Brooks, Dale Richards and Blake Ainsworth today.

Troy Brooks looked threatening toward the end of the final but Tamaroa held him off with powerful moves and consistency. Locals Dale Richards and Blake Ainsworth couldnt find the right waves and were left in the wake of Tahitian’s huge turns

Unknown surfer hits the lip at SnapperWith the Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro due to start tomorrow things have got pretty busy around Snapper Rocks. A huge low pressure system has moved off the coast. And the surf has been pumping. Yesterday the higher than normal high tide had waves threatening the structures put up for the Quiksilver Pro.
