Chris BrooksQueensland’s premier master’s surfers gathered today at Duranbah Beach to contest the first event of the Printpoint Queensland Master’s Surfing Circuit 2008.

Ben King Memorial Easter Surfing Classic 2008Now, in its 33rd year ‘the Byron Easter Classic’ is one of Australia’s longest running annual surfing events.
The event has been renamed in honour of Byron Bay Boardriders club president and long time stalwart, Ben King who sadly passed away 2 years ago.

Kirra Surf Riders winning team membersIt’s been a long time between drinks for the Kirra Surfriders club who took out the Rip Curl Kirra teams Challenge today. Their surfers winning seven out of eight heats surfed over the three-day event.
